Josephson C42mp

The Josephson Engineering C42 is an all-purpose cardioid condenser microphone suitable for multiple recording applications including spot miking acoustic and amplified instruments, drums and drum overheads, ensemble and choir pickups, concert recording, sound effects and vocals. Standard C42 microphones are satin machined stainless steel for years of rugged use.
The stereo kit, the C42MP, includes a matched pair of C42 microphones in matte black chrome finish and a protective hard shell case.

Josephson C617SET

The Josephson C617 is the second generation of their high voltage metal diaphragm omnidirectional microphone, suitable for the most critical sound recording and measurement applications. For music recording, the Josephson balanced symmetrical circuitry together with a sub-micron thickness metal diaphragm capsule translate to the purest, most open sound possible. Pickup of sound pressure alone results in no proximity effect, very low sensitivity to wind noise, and phase accuracy that cannot be obtained with directional microphones.

Josephson e22S

The Josephson e22S side-address cardioid was designed to meet the needs of noted recording engineer Steve Albini. The physical profile allows unobtrusive placement, even with tight percussion layouts. Unique among studio condenser microphones, the e22S capsule geometry is optimized for spot miking performance. The e22S has low self-noise, so it delivers low level detail, and handles high sound pressure levels for minimal distortion on extremely loud passages. The microphone housing is very rugged, with a precision machined, satin black chrome finish.

Josephson C700A

The C700 provides unprecedented flexibility, as the directional pattern of the mic can be adjusted in use, during or after recording. It includes omni/pressure and figure-8/gradient capsules, each with a discrete output. The signals can be recorded on separate tracks, so the pattern can be selected in mixdown. Pattern control is only one advantage of this technique. Applying different equalization or dynamic control to the capsule signals makes entirely different mic characteristics.

Josephson C700S

The C700S microphone has three capsules; an additional side-facing figure-8 capsule is added to the two in the C700A. Any coincident stereo pickup can be derived from mixing these three signals together, and like the C700A, the signals can be recorded individually and all aspects of image width and pattern control may be adjusted in the mixdown. With the three capsule signals, any number of microphone outputs may be created, each one pointed anywhere in the plane around the microphone.

The C715 uses a unique single large diaphragm capsule with an adjustable vent allowing cardioid or omni operation, and includes a new, patent-pending metal foam housing for minimum acoustic coloration due to the elimination of many internal reflecting surfaces. The single diaphragm capsule has a particularly smooth sound, usable for many studio applications where some conventional dual diaphragm mics are too harsh or bright.

The C716 dual- diaphragm capsule is optimized for cardioid, and is ideal for vocal pickups and instrumentals where a warm, natural sound is needed with minimum acoustic coloration. Off-axis response is particularly smooth, yielding excellent results in a variety of acoustic environments.

Josephson C550

The C550 microphones are rugged, stable and cost-effective alternatives to high voltage metal diaphragm lab mics for speaker testing, room acoustics, and general audio measurements between 20 Hz and 20 kHz. Series Five mics have been in rugged field service for more than twenty years, with little or no change in response. Several versions are available for use with a variety of other equipment.
