Thermionic Culture Culture Vulture

Originally designed as a "distortion box" to simulate distortion in valve amps it has found lots of uses beyond this. We know that some owners use them on drum loops, vocals, piano sounds and even across entire tracks (it is a stereo unit).

Thermionic Culture Culture Vulture Solo

The Culture Vulture Solo is a single channel unit in a 2U 19" rack chassis. It features the ability to switch, via the front panel or a dedicated footswitch, between the Clean and Dirty channels.

Thermionic Culture Phoenix Side Chain

The Phoenix is a stereo compressor, which can be used as a pair of mono compressors. It has a ‘soft knee’ or ‘variable mu’ characteristic in that the compression ratio increases with the amount of compression being used.

The Rooster is a dual channel valve based design mic/line & DI pre-amp with EQ and a distortion section based around the same 5725 valve used in the ever-popular Culture Vulture.

Thermionic Culture Earlybird 2.2

The Earlybird 2.2 is a two channel all valve pre-amp employing a balanced push-pull circuit. The unique use of this type of circuit gives very low noise and plenty of headroom with minimal distortion.

The 3u 19" 4-channel Earlybird 4 preamp has a unique valve design, in that it uses Class A bias valves in a push-pull circuit, company founder and chief designer Vic Keary believes that this is one of the finest pre-amplifiers available today.

Thermionic Culture Pullet

The Pullet is a passive equaliser originally designed to complement the Earlybird pre-amp. The Pullet will provide a variable Q boost and cut at 11 frequencies each. In addition high top can be boosted or cut with a shelving filter.

12 channel valve summing mixer that provides sound shaping possibilities too, with a simple yet powerful bass ( 50Hz ) and treble ( 10kHz ), Stereo Width and Depth controls, and the new ‘Attitude’ distortion section.

Thermionic Culture Little Bustard

This 19" 2u Little Bustard can be used independently by itself as a stand alone mixer, or as expansion for the Fat Bustard. It features 16 channels of valve summing.

Thermionic Culture Freebird

The Freebird is a 3 Channel valve EQ, company director Nick Terry explains, "We've introduced a new product that can be considered as part of a modular system, in our own unique style of course. The Freebird has 3 channels of broad but versatile valve EQ. The unit is a half rack design but can be put together in a 19 inch rack case with another unit to give 6 channels of EQ.

Thermionic Culture Nightingale

2 x Mic amps with useful valve eq. Both have their own outputs (XLR unbalanced). These can be combined or taken individually into
1 x vari-mu compressor-based on The Phoenix but with a little more "attitude". The compressor section has its own input ("balanced" XLR) which can be selected instead of a feed from the mic amps.
